Storyline:

Scene 1 will start with a black picture, then three seconds later writing will appear whilst the picture is still dark saying something like: 100 years ago there lived a little girl called Rebecca. Straight after the writing appears it will go into the first shot which is where we see the parent (nameless)  abusing Rebecca. For this scene I will use a Sepia effect on the camera to make it look old fashion. For mise-en-scene I will wear old clothes to give that feeling of an old fashion setting. Then the camera will change position to a close-up shot of me just starting to swing my arm as if I am going to hit Rebecca. Before the arm makes contact with her the camera shot will change again and we will be able to hear a scream then straight after the scream I will have a mid-shot showing Rebecca falling onto the floor, then a close-up of her face as she lays still with her eyes closed, then the picture will turn black again and writing will come up again saying something like: 100 years later... and this will be the end of the first scene.

Then it will cut into scene two where Joe, his brother Thomas and friend Robert and playing and annoying Joe and push him down the cellar and close the door on him. What none of them realise is that Rebecca died down there. At this moment the screen will go black again with writing once again, this time sayin 'She has come back to haunt all of those who stand in her path'. The cellar is pitch black so Joe searches for the light switch and eventually finds it, he looks left and right then clear his T-Shirt facing the camera, at this shot in the background from joes left side we will be able to see person behind him over his left shoulder. This person (Rebecca) is sat down and has her back towards the camera and all we can see is her long scary black hair and an old white dress. Then Joe turns around and sees this person and slowly starts approaching them. He takes three steps and stops and says 'hello' but he gets no reply so he backs away because he knows something is not right. Straight after that she stands up and all the lights switch off  and on as Rebecca begins to approach Joe. Then the camera will show three quick shots from a close-up distance of her face, at this point the audience will get a good view of the ugly and scary face of this girl. The camera will switch to the bigger brother Thomas who is upstairs, who will hear screaming coming from the cellar. Thomas will open the down, look down the stairs... pause for 3 seconds and will see a hand trying to hold on for their life. This scares both Thomas and Robert and run away. This would be the end of scene two.

The camera will cut to a different location, at Robert's house; Thomas's friend. In this scene thomas and Robert will be sat in the living room watching T.V, then the camera will cut to the oustide of the house and this is where I will use the same technique from the begining of Halloween, with the one-shot movement of Rebecca. She will start walking towards the house and look through the window then the camera will cut back into the living room, the lights will go off and back on then a mid-shot will show the fear in both of their faces, the lights will go off and on again. By the time the go on again rebecca will appear standing at the door entrance to the living room, then the camera will switch to Thomas's point of view looking at the rebecca, then switch to a zoom up of the scary person's face as she gets closer to them, the camera will switch to rebecca's point of view and Thomas and Robert will scream, whilst they do this the picture will go black and writing will appear again showing the name of the film then three seconds later it will say 'COMING SOON'

Research and planning

This image shows a long-shot from the boys point-of-view when he gets pushed down the cellar and looks down a small isle and sees a person.

This is an image when the boy slowly begins approaching this mysterious person, straight after that the lights will switch off and the boy will back off to the same position as the first picture.
