After writing it out a couple of times I now have completed my trailer script:
Trailer Script
Opening titles
Dark screen with writing and a voice over of a girl singing.
(picture appears dark for two seconds then followed by writing).
100 years a go there lived a little girl called Rebecca.
Cuts to the first scene:
Nameless parent:
You stupid little girl! (Shouting) your useless, I wish you'd never been born.
(when Rebecca falls to the ground, voice over of girl singing will continue, as well as a timed stomp, deep sound just when she falls).
(Screen goes black again. Scary music will begin slowly, with more writing: 100 years later... She has returned).
Scene cuts to Joe, Thomas and Robert playing around.
Thomas:
(Annoying Joe) Hey Joe I dare you to go down the cellar.
Joe:
(Annoyed) No! You go down there!
Thomas:
Whats wrong? You scared?
(Laughs from Thomas and Robert).
(Thomas and Robert look at each other, grap Joe and push him down the cellar. They close the door on him).
Joe:
(Scared) Hey this isn't funny, let me out!... Let me out!
(Thomas and Robert continue laughing).
(Cuts to Joe down the cellar).
(Picture is black and Joes begins to breath heavily in fear, whilst in the background a voice over of Thomas and Robert is heard).
Joe:
(Shuffeling) Searches for a light switch. Finds the light switch, then walks around and stops looking shocked and goes back to the room he was in and sees a strange person sat down.
Joe:
(Begins taking small steps towards this person).
Hello.
Rebecca:
(Stands up and the lights switch off).
Joe:
(Begins walking back, taking small steps).
Lights begin to flicker on and off.
Two second pause.
Rebecca:
(Starts getting closer to Joe).
Joe:
(Screaming from a distance).
Thomas:
What was that? (To Robert).
Robert:
(To Thomas) Ok maybe we should let him out now.
Thomas:
Relax, he's just messing around.
(Pause for three seconds).
(Thomas and Robert open the door and look down the dark stairs).
(Hand appears from the bottom of the stairs with sound used to give it a scary feeling).
(Thomas and Robert run away).
(Cuts to night time at Robert's house).
Rebecca:
(Outside Robert's house).
Walking towards the house.
(Whilst watching T.V).
Robert:
(Sighs fear) We should go back for Joe... It isn't fair!
Thomas:
Shut up, I'm sure he will be alright, ok! Just shut up!
(Lights begin to flicker on and off).
Robert:
What the hell is going on!
Rebecca:
(Singing) Twinkle, twinkle little star... how I wonder, where you are!
(Screen goes black for two seconds).
Rebecca:
(Gets closer and closer, up to a close-up shot).
(screen goes black again with screaming in the background).
(Pause for two second).
Film Titles appear.
